No lineups yet, but I suspect Raffy will be back, and it'll look something like this:

    Slappy
    Raffy
    O-Dog
    Thirsty
    Loney
    Martin
    Kemp
    Ethier
    Wolf

I could be wrong about Andre as he seems to be trying to go the other way to pull out of this slump, and maybe Torre will keep him higher. But if the guy is clearing not swinging for the fences in an effort to pull out of a slump, my humble opinion is that he belongs in a spot where he can be selective (8-hole). We'll see.

A little fun fact: The Dodgers are coming off of a 31-run performance in thier 3-game series in Denver, yet hit ZERO home runs. At Coors. Go figure.

Three of these four games are national TV, by the way, and the 4th is one that most of you can't watch.

    Today - MLB Network
Tomorrow - 11:20am PST start (Friday at 2pm? Yep, that's about time to stop working and start watching baseball in the office.)
    Saturday - FOX
    Sunday - ESPN

Mike Scioscia's tragic illness - the blog! For Dodger analysis, reviews, and hilarity.

Even Yahoo! is hyping this series up as a rematch of the 2008 division series. Guys are coming out of the woodwork over there saying, "I picked the Dodgers to win the World Series!" and the like.

Too bad I have to wait until about 11:00 pm to watch this game on the DVR... :(

Speaking of which, now that it's over, does anybody know when 24 is scheduled to come out on DVD?

I like that they moved Loney up ... but why is Kemp in the 8-hole now?

    Whatever ...

It came out the day after the season finale. I picked it up for $40 at Frys. Lots of goodies.

I'll play the radio on Southern stations because Southern Belles are Hell at night...

I just read on Weisman's blog that the Dodgers have ZERO home runs from the #5 hole. Maybe Torre wants to correct that by putting Blake there? And yeah, Loney is an RBI machine, so the 4-hole is fine for him in Manny's stead right now. But Bison in the 8-hole? Is that to get him to be more selective? I'm guessing that's the philosophy, but despite how lost he looks at the plate some nights, the man is still hitting .296. Ethier on the other hand is hitting .257 after a torrid start. Sure, he may be coming around, but it sure seems to me like he's a much greater candidate for the 8-hole right now than Bison.

Aside from worrying about Soriano running into a pitch, that is one awful looking lineup. I thought the Gints and Putrids couldn't hit, but the Cubs look even worse.

I have only made it through the first three episodes, but I should have plenty of time this summer to get good with Jack Bauer.

The good rabbi is going to have to make a ruling on this, but I feel Santo just blasphemed in an extreme way:

"Blake does not look good in that beard."

Is he kidding me? His beard, alone, has experienced more than most men's entire bodies.

Poor fella, he has no idea

Talk about a guy not keeping up with current events. Blasphemy aside, that's play-by-play suicide right there.
