Spam & Mullets: The Return of the BAM???

Hi Linda. I wish Chris and I could make it for the game, but my cousins are making a big deal about us going to Portugal to spend some time with them. They are Katja and Paula's godparents and they have not seen the girls since they were nine and fifteen. This might be Paula's last chance to get there for a long time because she is buying herself a condo in Concord because she has been offered a position at John Muir Hospital. We are hoping to get down there for a few games this summer. Chris would answer but he is being a big baby. He had his first colonoscopy (hey, I spelled it right!) so he thinks he can be all butt sore (I made a joke) because they did not knock him out. He does not have to go back for five years. I hate him. I get one every six months. Some things just plain suck.

I cannot wait to meet you guys though. Chris says the same thing. Now, it is my turn to go to the doctor. I have to have another CT scan on Thursday. I wish they could use the port in my shoulder for the IV, but they cannot. They will poke me about forever trying to find a good vein and both of my arms will be covered with bruises. Looks like long sleeved shirts for a week or two. I have no choice. About six IV's ago, I wore a tank top and some lady gave me a dirty look because she thought I was a drug addict or something.

I hope your luck changes on the job thing. I have been saying a prayer for you on that. Big baby wants a Gatorade. You would think his legs are broken for all the whining he is doing. Men!

I have been putting off a colonoscopy for 8 years. My doctor kept bugging me about it, but I am a wuss, just like Chris, and haven't had the courage to just do it. Part of it is the prep. When I had my hysterectomy, I had to do a similar prep, and I told the surgeon he needed to do a colonoscopy while I was under, because I wasn't going to do the prep again. It had to be different since I had the Gastric Bypass surgery. The only was I could get the mag citrate down was to put it over ice and sip it with a straw. It took forever to get it all down. Yuck!

While I don't think the lady who gave you the dirty looks deserved any explanation, wearing a tank top that says "Survivor" might have made her think twice. People are always so quick to think the worst about others without considering other things.

I got this wonderful substance called Golightly. Tastes like gym socks and will guarantee a strengthening of the gag reflex. It took me nearly six hours to drink the freakin' bottle. Billy Connolly is right, do not stray from the bathroom when taking this stuff.

I just wish they would've knocked me out. Maybe next time....in five years.

Maybe you'll get lucky and Obama's healthcare plan will get pushed through. Then they'll say you need to get one every 15 - 20 years instead of every 5.

I have to chime in here. I recently saw a Japanese film that recently won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film. The movie is called Departures (okuribito) and it is a very very beautiful movie. I highly recommend it.
