You know what... this game is a joke, and because I need to work on being friendly and social... how the hell are ya, Tammy?!

Hahah I like how those are the only reasons you care to ask. ;)

No, but, I'm OK. Just doing homework which is great because a) I'm being productive, and b) it's keeping my mind off this terrible game.

    HOW ARE YOU, Matthew?

    LOL, that's me.

How am I doing? I'm hanging in there, thanks. Just recording, hooking up a new HDTV I got for my birthday, although I might need Torgy to buy me a new one, if I watch any more of this game.

    Yeah, it's painful.

I'm not looking forward to all the comments people will no doubt make tomorrow when they see me on campus.

That reminds me, I did want to say something that I saw talked about during game 1 of the NLDS. Not all Yankees fans are that bad, as you'll find. Granted, about 99.9% are pretty obnoxious, but my ex was a very big Yankees fan. While she was anything but fond of the Dodgers, she wasn't like what you'd expect from a Yankee fan. Actually, the banter could be fun, sometimes, especially during 2004, when the Yankees came to Dodger Stadium. But there are some decent ones you'll find, here and there...

Honestly, I used to really hate the Yankees, mostly because of their fans. But lately, my opinion has been changing. I'm friends with so many Yankees fans now, living in Syracuse, and none of them are rude or obnoxious. All of them, actually, are cheering for the Dodgers and are really knowledgeable about our players and respect the general direction the team is heading in. I've had a lot of fun bantering back and forth with them.

The difference I've noticed is that these friends of mine are native New Yorkers who just grew up with a logical love in their home team. This makes me respect their fandom far more than the typical West Coast Yankee fan, to be honest, since we know they're 99% bandwagoners.

Yeah, you know, I agree with you. I got to know a lot of east coasters through my ex (all Yankee fans), and I grew to respect their fandom a lot. They have their flaws, yes, but I'd probably enjoy the fan experience a hell of a lot more at Yankee Stadium or Fenway than, sadly, Dodger Stadium. Don't get me wrong, I have no love for either the Yankees or Red Sox, but I will say that you don't see the wave over there, or freaking beach balls and, for the most part, they can know their shit. You know, Tammy, I think we're east coast type fans born in a west coasters body.

For those who might be interested, FSN Prime Ticket has been doing postgame shows and I see that Kevin Kennedy is back, at least for this.

Maybe tomorrow...the game itself was painful enough, I don't feel any need to get a recap.

In case anyone was wondering, Rusty snuck out of today's game with an ERA that will make us pine for the return of either Brett Tomko or Torgy (who we hear has been preparing for a comeback!). Kuroda's ERA: 40.50 (OUCH...!!!)

He'd have fit right in with last night's Dodgers then.

I checked. Tomko wasn't warming up in our pen last night.

Hell, for a hundredth of what Kuroda makes, I could go out there and probably get the same results with my overpowering 60mph fastball and 59mph changeup.

I'll play the radio on Southern stations because Southern Belles are Hell at night...
