Anyone interested in getting together for a Poster's Day at Dodger Stadium this summer? I know a bunch of us have season tickets, but getting together for real was great a couple of summers ago, and I'd love to do it again. Anyone up for it?

I'd like to know if this comes to fruition. It's about time for a pilgrimage to the shrine that is Dodger Stadium.

Looks like we might have a big enough group. Any suggestions for dates? Teams you'd LIKE to see, or NOT like to see?

I'm in, along with 3 of my kids. Depends on the dates, but July is always a nice time to leave Tucson. :)

OK, here's the scoop-Dodgers are home 2 Saturdays in July. Both are afternoon games. 7/10 is against the Cubs and 7/24 is against the Mutts.

I can travel down for 7/10 game.
Can't make it on 7/24 though. This is a great idea. It would be fun to meet up with everyone.

  8.  # 10

As far as I know, we can make either work.

I have a feeling, based on the fans of both teams involved, it might be tough to get tickets for either, but I'll check it out.

Just checked the schedule. BB and I have 7/10 as part of our ticket plan, but that's not a problem. It's "On Field Photo Day" which would be fun to get up close and personal. No promotions listed for 7/24

Either day sounds great! I don't yet know my son Ezra's summer game schedule (nor mine, for that matter), but we'll make ever effort to make the trek down the valley...

Thanks for making the effort to put it all together...

    Toes!
I am game too! I am always at the stadium anyway but I can get the extra ticket. A fellow blogger at MLB (Jenn) was sharing her pictures of the Phillie cruise from last year. The pictures looked great. she also going this year. wish the Dodgers had something like that. Maybe I'll email Josh. I know the Dodgers had a cruise in Nov but that was only with Steve Garvey. I don't think it had any current players.

Speaking of Garvey, did anyone catch the piece on Sons of Steve Garvey, that told of Alabama's national championship quarterback being a huge Dodgers fan? Check the link below, and try to get over his love for JP.

I'm pretty sure his Dad, now marketing VP with the Dallas Cowboys, was formerly marketing director and VP with the Dodgers. I remember when the whole family flew into Orlando and went on a cruise out of Canaveral. The Dad, Greg McElroy, seemed like a great guy and the family was super.

Toes, Mary and I would love to go, but we are going to South Africa in June (World Cup) and I promised Mary we would make a stopover in Portugal to visit her family there, afterwards. We are hoping to be back in mid July. If all else fails, we may just show up and try to find you guys.

I'll play the radio on Southern stations because Southern Belles are Hell at night...

Toes, you can count me and 3 of my kids. Maybe even a friend of mine and his two kids. I can only confirm the four of us right now, though.

BB and I have a mini ticket plan, so there are lots of games you could come and find us :)

I spoke with a very nice gentleman, Bryan, in the Dodgers Group Sales office. He said we shouldn't have trouble getting group tickets for July 10. He sent me a brochure, which I have attached (I hope) below. Tickets range from $8-40, depending on location. He said group seating will be available soon, and he will let me know. Look over the brochure, and give me some feedback. Thanks!
