Introduction
  • Tim May 2010
Hi. My name is Tim. Lifelong Dodger fan, grew up out in Ridgecrest, where my parents still live. I've spent a dozen years living in Utah, Spain, North Carolina, and now Japan, so my only contact with the team is through the internet (blogs, websites, mlb.tv, and now this community).

My parents fed my Dodger love growing up by taking me to a game every year or two, buying me t-shirts, cards, hats, etc., and as a result I've never been able to shake myself of this deep-seeded love of my favorite sports team. I've only been to one game at the Ravine in the past decade, mostly because of geographical reasons, but I'll be there on June 11th wearing my Ethier jersey. It'll be a highlight of my honeymoon!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that I look forward to continued participation in this community. (Also, I apologize if there's an introduction thread that I missed. I didn't see one when I searched.)

    ごめなし、ちょとにほんごをはなせます。わたしのはたらくわえいごです。

Yes, I know that's bad Japanese, but it's the best I can do on my own.

上手なんですよ!俺は日本語の大学生です。There's another gentleman who's on this site who actually lives in Tokyo, fluent in English, and has a son in the Dodger farm system. You'll meet him soon enough. Anyway once again, welcome aboard Tim!

  • Welcome, Tim! Good to meet you.
  • Welcome, Tim! I hope you don't regret coming aboard, we're kind of an acquired taste, and some never do, LOL. Don't gorget to wander over to the game threads. They've been fairly quiet this year, but they can be a lot of fun.

I wonder who that would be? Tim, where are you at in Japan? I am in Tokyo as James has said, but don't listen to him, he was totally lost the last time he was here (just joking).

Hi, Tim! Welcome to the craziness! We're always glad to have new folks who bleed Blue. I'm the token Philadelphia phan who married into the fold. I hope you'll enjoy being part of our motley crew.
