Dodgers vs Bucs, Lilly vs 4 weeks of Dotel
  • saeldway September 2011
    No Lineups yet.

Btw, Saeldway, congrats on last night's win.

I tell you, I have a feeling Eugenio is going to get a hit tonight.
    :-))
  • saeldway September 2011
Thanks. Pretty pathetic that my first mojo win comes with 13 games left and during games where it doesn't count.  I guess I'm kind of like this board's Eric Karros.
  • jWerthfanjWerthfan September 2011
Speaking of Dotel, he just gives up a grand slam in Philly, one play after a Furcal double clutch misses the third out of the inning.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Evening all, terminally lazy day.   Didn't get dressed until 2pm and then did absolutely nothing since.   At least I am better than Paula, she is still in her jammies as is Herself.   No real reason to go outside, huge fire on one of the islands in the Delta and it was like Smog City outside.

    That is just mean.

Geez, Fed Ex makes me pine for Russell Martin or Jason Phillips behind the plate.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Looks like Ted forgot to wash his face.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    Welcome to the show, d'Arnaud.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Wow, McCutchen is really struggling to be late on a Lilly fastball.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Infield single for Meep.   Damn, he is going to be fun, next year.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Clown blew that call, big time.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    Loney still sucks.   3-0, Blue!
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
SC is laying the hurt on the Orangemen.   Somewhere, Matthew is cheering and Sarge is pissed.
  • BluePastorKyleBluePastorKyle September 2011
Loney's final numbers are gonna make it hard not to offer him arb.  Just sayin'.  I wouldn't want that job, cuz I know I'd not offer it.  But Ned's gonna lose either way he goes because, well, he's Ned.  If he offers him arb, Loney will suck all season.  If he doesn't Loney will hit .300/20/100 for some other team.
  • BluePastorKyleBluePastorKyle September 2011
Somebody tell Ted that with a 3-0 lead, he should be throwing strikes.

Only if Loney ends up in Arizona as the other teams who need a first baseman play in pitcher friendly parks - Pittsburgh, Milwaukee (if Fielder ends up elsewhere) or Washington.    I doubt he puts up much better numbers anywhere else.

Ned will tell you he is a veteran and knows that.   Of course, Ned has to say that, he dumped $36 million on him.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
I would ask for a DP, but that is not in Lilly's repertoire.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Are Lilly and Billz sharing the same brain?

Not with Ned's luck.  Loney could play at the Polo Grounds and put those numbers up, just because Ned didn't offer arb.  The man has no touch.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Phew!   I got money that says Lilly will only go five.

Reason one to give the man his cards.   We need a GM with a smidgen of luck, if you believe in that.   Me, I think Ned makes his own luck by being a full-fledged moron.   Who else would give Urine a three year deal?  Even Sabean was only talking two years.

I don't have HDTV, but directly behind the plate, it looks like we have Frank and Jamie look-alikes.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
At least Lilly didn't cleat himself.

Since Jane Seymour stopped showing up, I don't pay as much attention to the seats behind home plate as I should.

That's just the thing - Ned has bad luck AND makes asinine decisions.  Nobody does it better.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Wow, Jerry Sands looks like a completely different hitter than the one we had in June.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
J-Mac may not last as long as Lilly.

Might as well bet with me, I seem to be losing money all over the place.   Gave Katja a C-note for dinner from Chili's and she said there was no change.    I guess Brazilian math is different than ours.  The tag was for $51 and even with a decent tip, I should've gotten back $35.   I guess the exchange rate has gone to Hell.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Can we just shoot Lilly?   I mean we shoot lame horses and Lilly is just as worthless.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Say Kyle, has this been happening where you are at:  Twice this month, some real evil folks have taken to stealing the copper wiring for our air conditioning system at our church, along with some plants, kid's things (swings and the like) and benches.   The local police seem to be giving us a run around on this and aside from hiring a security company - an expense we really can't absorb at this time - or fencing in the whole place, there aren't any real solid options.    It really makes me sad that someone either has to steal from a church or thinks it is okay to steal from a church.   We, as parishioners, are at the end of our rope.   Over the past two years, we have had four robberies and it does get old.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
If Lilly could bunt, we could've added to our lead.   I swear, if I was Donny, I would make Lilly spend the next two days in the cage, bunting.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
That was a picture perfect feed by Justin Sellers.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Lilly has some ownage on d'Arnaud.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    ....and McCutchen, too.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    Bison with a single.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    BOMBO!  5-1, BLUE!
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Loney may want to put this game into his scrapbook.

We've been fortunate to not have any break ins for a while.  We used to meet in a theater and kept all our sound equipment under the stage locked up.  One Sunday about 4 years ago, we got there early Sunday to set up to find all our sound stuff had been stolen.  It appears an employee of the theater disappeared that same weekend and he was never located.

Yes, it seems stealing from churches is on the rise.  I don't understand it - some folks truly have no fear.

I'm flipping back and forth between the blue and AZ vs. Stanford.  I'm thinking our Wildcats have no chance to beat the Cardinal, but it'll be if they keep it close.

I am watching that game while watching the Dodgers on the computer.   UA looks like they are finally moving.

I wish Stoops would abandon the run for the most part and let Foles air it out to some of these huge WR's we've got.

I have to wonder how these thieves were brought up.   Stealing from a church is about as low as one can get.   The really sad part is that aside from a few parishioners, most of our people are young and just getting started and don't have the means to pay for security.    Mary and I offered to pay for security, but as our priest said, that is just throwing money at a problem that should not happen in the first place.    One of our neighbors runs a security company that patrols apartment complexes and he gave me what I thought was a fair price to watch our place from 4pm to 7am - the hours when the staff is usually gone.   I am going to run it past the deacons and see if we can proceed.  I know it is just stuff, but what do we do when these animals get bolder and start robbing folks in our parking lots?

Gotta remember, Kyle, Stoops doesn't know diddly about offense.

OMG!  That guy who is on the mound looks just like Chris when I married him.   They could be twins.   I have to go downstairs and see if he thinks so, too.
  • thebrazilianthebrazilian September 2011
Darn, Chris is going to know I am awake and watching this game.   He will give me so much crap about watching baseball, but I am bored.   The Green Hornet was stupid and nothing else is on.

Cannot find Chris.   Oh goody, Katja says he went to get ice cream.    So what language is the game in, today?
  • thebrazilianthebrazilian September 2011
I sometimes lurk during the games, but I try not to say too much, you guys know way too much for me to say anything.   I just do not get this game.
