Dodgers vs Ned's Wet Dream ClaY vs. 2013 TJ Candidate
  • saeldway September 2011
Obviously no lineups yet.  I'm putting this up super-early because I'm as irresponsible at remembering to put these things up as Ned is GM'ing.

Doc loses tonight and gives up 4 runs in 8 innings.  If Kershaw wins tomorrow, Doc's got no shot of tying him in the win category.  2 More solid starts ClaY.  In the words of the immortal Rob Schneider "You Can Do It."

I would be happier if Kennedy took an "L" tonight.

In terms of personal, non-contending goals, this could be the most important game of the season.  ClaYton goes for the magic(?) #20, and the Dodgers try to de-rail the hated ones outside chance for the West or Wild Card, and it comes against Stinky Lincecum.

Ian Kennedy's quest for second place in the CY voting should be acknowledged.

    1-0 Dodgers!

    JERRY!!

    atta boy !
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Evening, all.   Late start, Mary wanted dinner at Melo's and it was packed.   Got to watch a bit of the game though.   God love Jerry Sands.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
I love that Charley and Mo are about five seconds ahead of the Gint broadcast.

Lincecum looks a bit more scumbaglike than usual.  Guess it has been a long time between showers for Jailbait.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
Thank you for not blowing that, Jerry.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
62 pitches through four, kind of high, but workable.   Sands seems to be more comfortable in right and if we do keep Andre, having Sands in right makes more sense to me.
  • jWerthfanjWerthfan September 2011
Sands with an edge of your seat grab.

  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
Jerry with the lead off walk.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Meep draws a walk.  Time for Justin Sellers to shine.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
    Bullshit.

Strike one and strike three both appeared to be more than a bit outside.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
So, what is the story with Fat Ass?   I would expect him to be playing as he is the leading marketing tool for the Gints.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    Thanks, Orlando.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
    Nice.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
What, no ninety-seven replays of an infield single?  Comcast Bay Area is slipping up.

Rookie got schooled on that pick off.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Line drive, Charley?   Looked like a ground ball to me.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Get some shampoo, Jailbait, it ain't expensive.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    Nice at bat, Melissa.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
72 through five is better.   Two less pitches than Jailbait in one more inning.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    Bison with another hit.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
Kershaw isn't necessarily masterful tonight, but with the Giants lineup and Lincecum pitching far worse, he doesn't have to be.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
    Kemp singles to left.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
Rivera singles to center.  2 on, 0 outs, for Loney.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Jailbait ain't exactly channeling Cy tonight.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Oh, if only this hot streak would last for longer than a month.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
Loney flies out to left.  1 out.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
Miles flies out to center.  2 outs.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
Jerry Sands should not be hitting below Aaron Miles.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
    Ugh.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
Note to Matt Kemp - don't make the third out at third base.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
The only weakness left in Kemp's game is his base running IQ.
  • jWerthfanjWerthfan September 2011
    Matt thinking about Matt ?

Would prefer to see Mitchell getting more playing time, but I doubt that Ned will let that happen.

I am sure Lopes will have some pointed words for Bison, after this game.

I sure hope so.  That was really stupid to do.
  • jWerthfanjWerthfan September 2011
I hate that Sands lost that at bat with 2 on.
  • jWerthfanjWerthfan September 2011
Allright! MLB Network is cutting to the rest of the game. :)
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    Please stop throwing sidearm, Meep.

Not in the Bay Area, stinking Comcast is going to make sure everyone has to listen to Krukow and his Trained Monkey.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
    Sit yer ass down, Beltran.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
    Nice pitch, Kershaw.
  • jWerthfanjWerthfan September 2011
Wow - no matter how many times I see that curveball, I'm still amazed.
  • grabarkewitzgrabarkewitz September 2011
87 pitches through six.   Eight innings should be good, but a CG would be nice.
  • MatthewMatthew September 2011
87 pitches through 6.  I think he's good for 8 at this point, though if he can have an easy 7th and/or 8th, maybe 9.

That pitch is reason one (lefty with a curve) of millions that I wasn't much of a baseball player.
