    Just reported on twitter by Chris Moretensen that he has passed, Last 20 years of his life, the way he ran his football team wasn't the best but for a long time before that they were one of the best.
    Whatever they were doing, Dad was winning

    Wow - he ran the Raiders my entire life.  I loved his no-nonsense approach, until he obviously lost something about 10 years ago. The game passed him by, and he tried to disprove that theory by remaining unchanged.  Maybe my life-long football love will actually do something positive this year?   I used to think they'd never play .500 ball until he gave up control, but perhaps that would've happened this year.  Now that he's passed, we'll never know.

    While he became a punchline over the past decade or so, he is still one of the most influential and important people in NFL history.
