It's time for Dodger baseball, from beautiful..

(yeah, i stole that from matthew).

    (lineup not posted yet!)

    Ervin Santana (5-6, 5.26)

Santana is coming off his best road performance of the season: six quality innings against the Cardinals. Mixing biting sliders and changeups with an electric fastball and working quickly to keep his tempo and rhythm, Santana held the Redbirds to six hits and three earned runs, all coming on a pair of homers after he was staked to a 6-0 lead. Santana beat the Dodgers in Anaheim on May 18, giving up one earned run on six hits in six innings. He's 2-1 in three career outings against the Dodgers with a 3.78 ERA, losing his lone Dodger Stadium start last year while yielding five earned runs in four innings.

    Check this out:

    Home ERA: 2.41
    Road ERA: 8.50!!

    vs.

    1. Furcal SS
    2. Pierre CF
    3. Nomah 1B
    4. Kent 2B
    5. Gonzalez LF
    6. Martin C
    7. Betemit 3B
    8. Kemp RF
    9. Lowe P

    Derek Lowe (6-6, 3.21 ERA)

Lowe pitched a masterpiece Saturday night against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on four hits while striking out three over eight innings. Lowe picked up his ninth quality start of the season, but did not figure in the decision. Lowe's only mistake came on a fastball that he left up in the strike zone that Matt Stairs hit for a home run. Lowe was his typical self, inducing groundouts and getting Blue Jays' hitters to swing at balls low in the zone.

Love that Kemp's back in again. I've got to think Loney gets in tomorrow, right?

Santana is making his fourth career appearance against the Dodgers, he is 2-1 with a 3.78 ERA against manager Grady Little's troupe in 16 2/3 innings. He dropped his lone Dodger Stadium start last year while yielding five earned runs in four innings. At 24, he's 33-22 in his career, with a 4.58 ERA. This will be his 70th career start.

Lowe is 5-5 in his career against the Angels, with a 2.97 ERA and six saves. Ten of his 26 appearanaces as a starter. He's 2-2 this year at Dodger Stadium in five starts, with a 2.55 ERA.

Player to watch for the Blue....Juan Pierre is hitting .400 (8-for-20) with a triple on the current homestand and had two hits against Santana in their first meeting this season. Pierre has 23 multihit games on the year, which is good for seventh in the NL. YIPPEE??????????????? UH, NOT!!!!!
Player to watch for the Angels....Casey Kotchman, as he has been among the hottest hitters in baseball over the past four weeks. The Angels' first baseman is 2-for-4 against Lowe, with a triple and an RBI.

Do not think Nomar...close your eyes and picture Loney.

I have Matthews on my fantasy squad... people laughed at me for that, but he's done surprisingly well.

I benched him in favor of Kemp tonight, though!

Lowe has a filthy sinker working tonight. Mathews down on a check swing. Bottom of one, 0-0.
