So, did everyone see/hear about the Yankees' final game in Yankee Stadium tribute to former Yanks? Apparently, they listed every former coach, manager, and player, *except* for Joe Torre and Roger Clemens. What's up with that?

I can mildly understand Clemens but not Joe Torre. He did nothing but lead the Yankees to four World Series titles, and even through what happened this past off-season, it just shows the ego and the pride that the Steinbrenners have. I might hate some of the things that Joe Torre does, but I honestly believe that his managing is what kept this Dodger team from not plummeting off the face of the Earth after that eight game losing streak. He might make some bonehead moves, but he's a good manager, and I I agree with you Mamma that he was snubbed, or if even that's what you're trying to get at.
Whatever, he's with us now and we're going to the playoffs.
Go Dodgers!
Brian Cashman called Joe Torre yesterdya to congradulate him on the season and winning the division. I thought that was a pretty classy move.

Cashman has always been the oasis of class in the Yankee front office. Too bad the Steinbrenners have none.

He and Jeter both congratulated Torre.
I don't consider it evilness. I consider it, for all their Yankee bigness, very small.
Here's a good take IMHO, from Kriegel at FoxSports: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8609834/Out-west,-Torre-takes-the-high-road
Every silver lining has a cloud.Great article by Kriegel! Thanks for posting the link.
Those comments from the Yankee camp had raised my hackles. When that story first broke, we had more important things to worry about...like winning a division. The Steinbrenner brothers might be even more classless (is that possible?) than their father.
