    So long as it doesn't start a long losing streak, I almost hope the streak is snapped tonight. I'd rather it happen by Washington than this weekend with the Jints. The Jint fans are going to be all over this Manny thing and, if they can also lay claim to beat LA when we're down and snap the streak, we'll never hear the end of it. I want the Dodgers fired up and ready to take SF down, and if we can have an emotional win tonight, I'll take it, but if the streak is going to be snapped in the next few days (and it will), I'm voting for tonight and then start a new one at the Jints' expense.

    Iiiii disagree. I think we HAVE to win tonight. Everyone is watching us. Which sucks, but it's true. We really do have to win tonight. Losing against the NATIONALS once we lose Manny? How humiliating. No. I demand a win. IT MUST BE SO.

    Hey - I've attended games at the 'stick in FULL Dodger regalia when we were 20 games out. I can handle what is to come.

    I don't know how much I can handle having Pierre in the lineup. I'm sorry, but that is just frightening to me. That was the first thought in my head this morning when I heard about Manny - Pierre just moved into the starting 9 - great.

    Hey, now fellows, this could be a good thing. Bear with me. Slappo goes all Ichiro on the league and is hitting .350 around the first of July. Think we could move him and obscene salary then? Let's cheer on the freakin' ET clone and hope he gets en fuego. Nothing would cheer me more than to see this guy light up the league.

    Good Evening, everyone! Or, at the very least, as good of an evening one can have based on the events of today. For some reason, tonight's game reminds me very much of the game after the LoDuca trade when we played SD. Completely different circumstances, of course, but both definitely had a "must win" type of vibe to it.

    Either way...
